Abigail Unruh

CF-L1 COACH

Bio

I grew up playing soccer and spent most of my life on the field. While I loved competing and
being part of a team, my favorite days were always the strength and conditioning sessions. After
graduating high school, I wanted to find a new way to stay active and challenge myself, so I
decided to give CrossFit a try.

What started as a way to stay fit, quickly became a passion. I was drawn to the variety of
workouts, the opportunity to continually learn new skills, and the strong sense of community.
While attending the University of Pittsburgh, I joined the university's CrossFit club, where I met
other young athletes who inspired me to push myself and continue growing in the sport.
When I transferred to the University of New Mexico, I wanted to continue improving my
CrossFit skills and find a new fitness community. That's when I joined CrossFit Albuquerque.

The coaches and members welcomed me from day one, and the supportive environment has
helped me grow both as an athlete and has inspired me to become a coach.
Today, I enjoy helping others build confidence, strength, and healthy habits through fitness. As a
coach, my goal is to create a welcoming environment where athletes of all ages and experience
levels feel supported, challenged, and empowered to reach their goals.

Outside the gym, I am pursuing a career in medicine and am passionate about health, wellness,
and helping people live active, healthy lives. I am grateful to be part of the CrossFit Albuquerque
community and look forward to helping others achieve their fitness goals.
