Name: Linda Wilderman

Position: Coach (9:00am class)

When did you start doing CrossFit? I started CrossFit in December of 2011. I got my L1 the summer of 2012 when I was 6 months pregnant with Titus!

What made you decide to start coaching? I was not athletic before I started CrossFit. I had little experience in sports or general exercise, so when I started CrossFit, I was starting from a blank slate. At first, nothing came naturally for me, like it might for someone with an athletic background. My experience in having to start from the bottom and work really hard to develop athleticism inspired me to help others who may have a similar story as me. I was (and am) eager to help people discover that although they might not consider themselves an athlete, they have a body that is capable of so many amazing things and that it is empowering, fun, and healthy to connect to and train their body! Coaching CrossFit has given me that opportunity, and so much more!

What do you like most about coaching? Developing a relationship with the people in class! People are people first, and athletes second.

What is your favorite thing to coach? The fundamentals! Air squats, push-ups, hollow body position and even breathing! The basics are the foundation on which well rounded and lifelong athletes are built.

What is your least favorite thing to coach? Anyone who doesn’t want coaching.

What is your favorite lift? The snatch. It’s such a beautiful expression of mechanics, speed, strength, and flexibility.

What is something most people do not know about you? I don’t really care for bacon.

What is your favorite thing about the CrossFit community and CFABQ community?  CrossFit is such an inclusive space where all walks of life are welcome! CFABQ has given me a safe place to grow, suffer, and laugh with some incredible humans!

What are you most excited about in the second half of 2019? Doing more of the things I love with the people I love!
