Flow

There is a term popular in positive psychology called “flow”. Wikipedia defines flow as, ” the mental state of operation in which a person performing an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity.” For me this loosely means, “In the zone.” If you have ever seen Matt Booth on an airdyne, Ben yelling at someone, Joe dodging a wod, or Whitney doing anything Crossfit related, you know exactly what I mean.  So I would like you to take a minute and just think about what your flow is. Where do you lose yourself ? And I would like you to make an effort to do more of  it.  It doesn’t have to mean that you are totally awesome at whatever it is that you love, but just the fact that you love doing it and it brings you happiness. Dont get me wrong, one of my favorite things about my job is being able to watch people kick ass, but also just enjoying being in the moment (usually after the wod is over) and accomplishing something as hard as a simple Crossfit workout can be.
