Complete as many rounds as possible in 60 minutes of:
17 power cleans, 135 lb.
75 squats
Unload the barbell and carry it 200 meters away.
Return to the plates and then carry one forward to the barbell.
Retrieve the second plate, carry it forward and reload the barbell for the next round.
Due to the length of this workout, we will only be running one class at 9:00am. Members can partner up for the workout or modify as needed.
McLaren Cup Suicide Awareness Throwdown is a two-person same-sex competition hosted by Rio Rancho CrossFit to raise money for Breaking the Silence New Mexico. Breaking the Silence NM is an organization raising community awareness about the myths and stereotypes that reinforce the silence about mental illness and suicide.
This year marks our 10th Annual Bugaboo Cure Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Fundraiser WOD. 200 thrusters for time. Help raise money to find a cure for SMA. The event will be held at CFABQ, heats begin at 8am.

We are super stoked to have Thomas, an SFG Kettlebell Instructor Level 1, coming to CFABQ for a kettlebell workshop. He will teach us proper technique when it comes to the many different kettlebell movements, how to be efficient, and then run us through a kettlebell only workout!

May 27th we will be participating in the Melissa Memorial WOD in honor of Becky Freeman's mother.
Melissa, Becky's mother, passed away last year in May from PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy), an uncommon brain disorder that affects movement, control of walking (gait) and balance, speech, swallowing, vision, mood and behavior, and thinking.
May is also PSP Awareness Month. Becky and her sister, are making strides to create a bigger impact on awareness month in May for PSP and fundraising for research for a cure, here in ABQ.
Easter Sunday is right around the corner. The gym will be closed for Easter, there will by no Olympic lifting or Open Gym. Enjoy your Sunday with your friends families and eat some good food!

Whitney’s next Boot Camp session begins Tuesday May 28th @5am. Boot Camp is an 8 week program that meets 2x/week (Tues/Thurs) and is the perfect introduction into Crossfit. Over the course of the 8 weeks you will develop strength and conditioning fundamentals and work your way up in difficulty as the session progresses. The classes are designed with beginners in mind, and can accommodate any and all fitness levels. The atmosphere is low key and aimed towards building the skills and fitness to advance quickly and build confidence. The perfect place for beginners to start Crossfit. Boot Camp is an 8 week session that meets 2x per week and will cover all the fundamentals in a low key atmosphere. The goal will be to ramp up skill and conditioning for normal Crossfit classes.
